Nokia Siemens $1.2 bn Motorola deal delayed again

HELSINKI, FINLAND: Telecom gear joint venture Nokia Siemens Networks' $1.2 billion acquisition of Motorola's network unit will be delayed further beyond the first-quarter deadline, the company said on Wednesday.

"The proposed acquisition has entered phase three of the review process with the Anti-Monopoly Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce in China," Nokia Siemens said.  

Earlier, in December 2010, Chinese regulator had delayed the deal.

Nokia Siemens Networks said it remains committed to the acquisition but will provide no further guidance on when it is likely to be completed.
