Nokia E6 available at Tradus.in for Rs. 16,995

BANGALORE, INDIA: Even as Nokia has announced the pre-order for its touch and type series Symbian phones, the Nokia E6, online retailer Tradus.in has gone a step further and announced that the smartphone can be booked with it for an all inclusive price of Rs 16,995, more than Rs. 1000 less than the official price.

Nokia is planning to ship the smartphone in India from the first week of July, 2011. While making this announcement Tradus.in also said that buyers will get a special discount voucher of Rs.500 on every pre-order of Nokia E6. Another online retailer, Flipkart.com is offering the handset for Rs. 17499

In Nokia stores the mobile price is Rs. 17,999, which can also be paid via three-monthly installments. Earlier it was rumoured that E6 would be priced around Rs. 25,000.

The smartphone, which comes with a touch screen and QWERTY keyboard, is claimed to have long-lasting battery. While it syncs with Microsoft Outlook to deliver real-time emails, contacts and calendar entries direct to your home screen, one can also create, edit and share Word, Excel and PowerPoint docs. Also it has an 8 megapixel camera.

A social media phone, E6 has fully integrated email and social networks so that users can get live Facebook and Twitter feeds 24/7.

Specifications: Size: 115.5 x 59 x 10.5 mm, weight (with battery): 133 g, volume: 66 cc. Internal memory: 8 GB; support for up to 32 GB with an external MicroSD memory card (with hot swap).

In an effort to capture its eroding market, Nokia had recently showcased its N9 smartphone and also three new affordable mobile phones — the Nokia C2-02, Nokia C2-03 and Nokia C2-06 — at an event in Singapore.

The handset major also recently unveiled two 'Madein India' dual SIM mobile handsets — Nokia C2-00 and Nokia X1-01.
