Features: IBM has introduced Network Operations Center – Inside (NOC-Inside), an automated IT infrastructure management service.

NOC Inside with onsite rollout, will enable businesses realize immediate productivity by ensuring enhanced control and agility of their IT Infrastructure. Unlike a remotely managed service offering, NOC Inside has been designed around the assets that IBM-NetSol has developed over the years.

IBM said in a statement that the NOC-Inside provides a “single view” of the entire IT operations of businesses, including networks, systems, applications, databases, desktops as well as helpdesk. This services package enables businesses to take control through end-to-end visibility of their IT infrastructure with minimal integration and operational effort, low level of operational expertise and very attractive operational cost.

The new service would be available as three packages to suit IT Management Services requirements of every segment in the marketplace (Small, Medium and Enterprise) and across industry verticals. These include Power Pack for integrated and comprehensive functionality for enterprise customers, Flexi for independent functionality and Lite for integrated functionality with limited scope for SMB customers.

Nipun Mehrotra, director, Global Technology Services, IBM India/SA said, “A recent IBM CIO study highlighted an alarming number of CEO’s in India, nearly 86 per cent of the ones interviewed, rating ‘business and technology integration’ to be of great importance. This creates a strong need for IT departments to make IT more agile and aligned to business needs. IT administrators today are expected to proactively act and eliminate potential issues and also validate specific actions for capacity planning. NOC- Inside will offer clients a flexible and customizable service model to suit their unique business needs. “

Clients using NOC-Inside will be able to leverage IBM-NetSol’s domain expertise with understanding of business and IT operations; besides availing continuous value addition through IBM’s “consultative engagement approach. A unique feature is the “IT Advisory Service” that maximizes returns by providing access to IBM-NetSol experts - providing analysis of IT infrastructure issues, proactive problem identification, growth planning and performance improvement which forms a key component of the service that enable organizations to adopt a proactive consultative approach in resolving issues which could impact business performance.

NOC - Inside, is currently the only available “Integrated and Automated IT Management Services offering in the marketplace, the statement said.

Mehrotra added, “This ‘Automated IT Management Services’ offering would offer clients a set of comprehensive monitoring and management functionalities and is designed to enable immediate productivity with “negligible integration effort.”
