Various factors like the restructuring of office arrangements had delayed the project that was scheduled to be implemented two years back. The Rs. 8 crore e-governance programme is implemented under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), which aims at making all the major services offered by the Corporation available online.

The project is being implemented by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and it has completed the procedures, including the software development for major modules.

The pilot phase has been completed and the Corporation Authorities are planning to roll out the first phase of the e-Governance programme by August, this year. Services offered by the Kochi Corporation can availed online after the first phase is launched.
