NMS Communications sets up India office

NEW DELHI: NMS Communications, provider of technologies and solutions for mobile applications and infrastructure, said it will be incresing its presence in India with the opening of its marketing office, located in New Delhi. Country manager Aveek Roy would head the NMS team in India.

According to the press release, the office will be responsible for the marketing, sales and support of the complete range of NMS' products, from IP and mobility ready developer platforms to mobile applications and solutions for improving the quality and performance of wireless infrastructure. The NMS office will complement the efforts of HCOM, NMS' Southeast Asia channel partner with offices in Mumbai, Bangalore and Singapore.

NMS products are already deployed in several operator networks, enabling voice and data messaging, enhanced Interactive Voice Response (IVR), call personalization and mobile entertainment services. NMS products are the platforms for such services at Reliance Infocomm as well as Hutch India, GSM mobile operator Airtel, and BSNL.



"We've seen a very strong and steady increase in demand for all of our products, from developer platforms to system-level solutions, over the past two years, particularly in the areas of IVR, SMS, mobile entertainment and for mobile and IP voice quality," said VP and GM of NMS Communications' Asia operations Critz Chan. "At this time, the India market offers great growth potential and tremendous opportunity for NMS," he added.
