Nivio appoints Matthew Colebourne as COO

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Nivio announced the appointment of Matthew Colebourne as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In his current global role, he will be responsible for expanding the areas of operation for the company as part of its plans to launch Nivio services in countries including the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Belgium and parts of Latin America over the next year.

Colebourne brings with him over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and operational management. He previously ran all of DoubleClick’s non-US operations, was responsible for the turnaround and sale of Espotting to Findwhat (now MIVA) for $183 million and has, more recently, consulted for several Web2.0, Internet and Telephony businesses including Lunarstorm and CoComment.

Announcing the appointment, Sachin Dev Duggal, President and CEO, Nivio, said, “Colebourne brings with him a wealth of operational know how that Nivio really needs as we experience explosive growth. It is a testament to Nivio’s preeminent position in the cloud computing space that we have been able to attract an executive of Matthew’s caliber to the company. Colebourne will focus on all operational aspects of the business freeing me to drive our vision ‘A desktop for everyone accessible everywhere’.”

Colebourne, COO and VP—Global Operations, Nivio, said, “I am delighted to be joining Nivio at this exciting time for the company. Previous cloud computing offerings have, frequently, required the user to accept compromises; Nivio does not. Nivio allows me to run the most complex Excel spreadsheets, visit customers knowing that my presentation will be accessible to me when I arrive and instantly rent applications when someone sends me documents or files for which I need new programs.
