Imation launches Epson-compatible cartridges
BANGALORE: Imation has launched Epson-compatible cartridges costing less than
Epson cartridges. The ink cartridges are from Neon and they will be distributed
in India through the authorized resellers of Imation.
The MRP of the cartridges show an average difference of Rs 50 for black ink,
and about Rs 200 for color. Imation has also brought in an innovative way to
differentiate between the cartridges. Now one doesn’t need to remember the
model numbers of the printer or cartridges. All the Neon cartridges come with a
fruit reference that make them easy to recall. Imation is not the only one
trying to enter the Epson cartridge space. Amkette is already

Compuware ties up with Sonata
BANGALORE: Compuware has tied up with Sonata for distribution of Compuware
products in India. It will focus on automated testing tools for software
development, debugging applications, code testing, load testing applications,
quality assurance and deployment device drivers.
Compuware is based in the US and has closed the fiscal year 2001 with a
turnover of more than $ 2 billion. In its product portfolio are Numega, QA and

LIC goes on-line
BHOPAL: Life Insurance Corporation of India has launched its on-line premium
payment facility. The facility would enable checking of one's policy status as
well as on-line payment of one's insurance premium through http://www.licindia.com.
The Internet payment of premium can be done through direct debit, should the LIC
policy holder hold accounts in UTI Bank, Bank of Punjab, Corporation Bank, HDFC

Accton introduces Gigabit Ethernet card
MUMBAI: Accton Technologies Corporation has launched their Cheetah Gigabit
Ethernet card in India. The cards are targeted at specific segments like R&D
labs, graphics and multimedia designers, ISPs, etc. that are high bandwidth
users. The Cheetah card (technical name EN1408-T) is a high performance 32 bit
card that fits on PCI slots. The product's advanced features such as VLAN
tagging, eight levels of priority to deliver desired quality of service,
priority queuing, full duplex control flow that ensures maximum data integrity
even under heavy loading, and jumbo frames capability to boost throughput by up
