The announcement was made in connection with the SMB Nation (Oct.4-6), where Jim Locke, president of the SMBTN, participated in a pre-event seminar titled “Absolute Best Practices”, along with Erick Simpson and Karl W. Palachuk, two successful SMB consultants and authors.

The new vendor partners will offer a variety of benefits to SMBTN members through special discounts on products and services that will help improve and grow their businesses. New partners and their offerings include:

  • CoreConnex will offer Corelytics, a financial and business “advisor” used to optimize technology business. Corelytics enables users to build accountability into planning to assure that financial goals are achieved.
  • SMB Books will serve as the official bookstore for SMBTN members.
  • TechInsurance will be the technology insurance vendor for SMBTN members, offering business liability, errors and omissions and other applicable coverage.
  • Association Health Programs will offer reduced cost medical benefits to SMBTN members.
  • TrainSignal will provide training materials to SMBTN members at a reduced cost.
  • ProCompare will be the SMBTN’s partner for rating technology products and services and will include SMBTN members on its list of experts. ProCompare will also partner with SMBTN on the first SMBTN/ProCompare Awards to be presented at SMB Summit 2009.
  • e-Folder will partner with the SMBTN to deliver remote backup and recovery services to its members at a reduced cost.
  • ContractEdge will offer discounted access to simple, powerful contract software – developed by attorneys who specialize in information technology law – to draft their own legally sound documents.

“The purpose of the SMBTN and our partnership program is to provide technology providers with the tools and resources needed to increase opportunities and further tap into the $56.9 billion SMB market,” said Jim Locke, president of the SMB Technology Network. “We’re pleased to offer our members with additional business solutions that will enhance their businesses' operations and enable them to better serve their clients.”

"We're very proud to be part of the next generation of partner support at SMBTN," said Karl Palachuk, author and President of SMB Books. "Our partnership with SMBTN is important to us as we strive to assist consultants and VARs in the SMB space. We pride ourselves on providing only the best resources to build partner success. This partnership will help us do that at a whole new level."
