New McAfee edition for small business

MUMBAI: The McAfee Security division of Network Associates, Inc. (NA) has introduced the small business edition of its popular Active Virus Defense and Active VirusScan product bundles for customers in India. These editions are fine-tuned for small and medium businesses with up to 100 employees or end-nodes.

With the inclusion of the advanced management and reporting capabilities of the ePolicy Orchestrator - a console responsible for enforcing anti-virus security policies, they are provided with a definitive edge over virus attacks.

The Active VirusScan Small Business Edition from McAfee Security is a virus detection and removal solution for desktops that are a major source of infection. It provides comprehensive and effective corporate desktop security available for protection against viruses, web attacks and e-mail intrusions.

It essentially comprises of VirusScan software for desktop protection, NetShield software for file server protection and McAfee's ePolicy Orchestrator management console for advanced, airtight anti-virus policy enforcement. By employing the use of advanced heuristic technologies called ViruLogic that has the intelligence to know what characteristics viruses exhibit and Virtran, a virus specific scripting language that detects and cleans new viruses, VirusScan offers unparalled protection from the newest threats.
