CHICAGO, USA: SingleHop, a Chicago managed hosting provider, released its new supercharged Harpertown Server Series last week which saw an overwhelming response and sold out within an unprecedented 48 hours of releasing news of their availability. The company actually received over 400 pre-sale RSVP's and liquidated their entire stock filling orders within the first 48 hours.

"It's exciting to see a successful launch of another series; but it's even more exciting at how well our systems and technicians worked to deploy the servers within the 48 hour timeframe. Our advanced provisioning system saved well over 200 hours of man-time, delivering servers to our clients faster and more efficiently than we've seen," says Zak Boca, founder and president of SingleHop, Inc.

In addition to the success of the Harpertown pre-sale, SingleHop's flagship line of PARAMOUNT servers represented 40 percent of new business received in the 2nd quarter of 2008 and have been receiving raving reviews on forums and boards. "The PARAMOUNT series is currently our most popular line, indicating a strong demand in the SMB segment for a hands-off approach," Boca adds.

The Supercharged Harpertown server responsible for this sales boom is the Intel Xeon 5410 Harpertown. SingleHop offers this server with a 250 GB hard drive, 6 GB of RAM, 5 TB of Bandwidth and SingleHop's cornerstone LEAP customer portal. The LEAP portal, which offers clients more control over their hosting solutions through a WebTop, has been a large success for the company.

"The Harpertown 5410 Xeon server is one of Intel's most efficient quad-core CPU's -- one of the fastest, and by far the most power efficient. We added 6 GB of RAM because RAM is where almost every large website bottlenecks first. We believe that a certain level of RAM is needed for modern web applications to function, which is why we recently announced that we will be upgrading ALL of our existing customer servers to 2GB of RAM, at no cost to the clients," adds Boca.

The months of July and August have marked a huge surge in SingleHop product offerings including a Content Delivery Network; the announcement of LEAP, the server manager webtop client portal; the company's free 2GB RAM upgrade for existing clients; the release of Advanced Automatic Server Provisioning (AASP,) a technology, exclusive to SingleHop and LEAP, which drastically increases server installation time as well as reduces human error. Additionally LEAP features SingleHop's exclusive IP ensure technology, which guarantees that clients will only receive clean IP addresses.
