Net4 India enters security space

NEW DELHI,INDIA: Net4 India Ltd, a provider of IP communications services and solutions, today announced its entry into the security services business with a new service - Net4 Secure.

First of its kind in India, Net4Secure is an automated security auditing service for websites and online applications.

Net4 also announced its plans to invest Rs 14 crore over the next three years in application and network-related infrastructure.

The firm expects business to scale up to the tune of Rs 30 crore per annum in FY 2010. Jasjit Sawhney, chairman and CEO, Net4, said, “This year we are focused on new product and service launches, innovative service plans, technical collaborations and continued investments in research and development to inject further value to our service portfolio for our customers.”

Net4, in partnership with Appin Security Group, an IIT Delhi-incubated company, will offer a range of security services which include auditing, penetration testing, specialized security consulting, security policy formulation, and development of bespoke security software.

The company will initially target its own customer base of 75,000 hosted websites, more than 700 data center customers and over 200,000 registered domain names. The service would be available for Rs 4,990 per year.

As an introductory offer, the service is now available for Rs 999,  lasting up to February 2008.
