WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND: NEC New Zealand, a leading solutions and service provider of IT and network, telecommunication and identity solutions, announced a collaboration between NEC New Zealand and Hutt City Council for the Lower Hutt - Minoh City Conferencing Link Project.

The project is part of NEC New Zealand's on-going Corporate Social Responsibility program and will allow for cultural exchanges between students in New Zealand and Japan in real time through the installation of ‘Live Skype Windows'.

These video conferencing suites enable international ‘Live Skype Windows' connections through NEC's 46-inch commercial grade LED screens which are designed for low power consumption and longer life span, enabling low long-term costs. The students will enjoy the benefits of built-in speakers, full HD webcams, and permanent high-quality video conferencing links to facilitate their exposure to cultural diversity.
