NCR names new MD for India

BANGALORE, INDIA: NCR Corporation, a provider of IT services, today announced the appointment of Jaivinder Singh Gill as its new managing director of India.

Gill brings to NCR over 19 years of experience in sales and business management with leading multi-national companies from the information technology and financial services sector.

He will have total responsibility for the management of all NCR industry lines of business in India, said a press release.

Gill joins NCR Corporation from Lenovo India, where he served as an executive director for relational sales. At Lenovo, he helped the business achieve its highest market share while improving margins.

“Gill has extensive knowledge of the India marketplace that will help him lead NCR’s core financial and retail business and leverage opportunities in emerging industry segments, such as travel.” said David Miller, NCR regional vice president for South Asia Pacific.

Prior to Lenovo, Gill was a director with Dell International Service where he was responsible for business growth, sales and team management. Prior to that, Gill worked in management positions at ATS Services India Pvt. Ltd., American Express (India) Pvt. Ltd. among others.

Gill takes over from Manjunath Rao, country manger sales for NCR in India, who was an acting managing director of sales on an interim basis.
