MUMBAI: NCR Corporation has set up ATM Channel Management Center in India
that is first of its kind in Asia. The new center will support a full range of
financial self-service solutions and network management, and is managed by on a
24 x 7 basis. State Bank of India managing director, Y Radhakrishnan officially
inaugurated the center.
The center has the capacity to remotely manage more than 6000 ATMs around the
country. As the ATM infrastructure in India grows, NCR will increase capacity to
support customers’ needs. The center has, for the past several months, been
delivering a range of managed services to both the State Bank of India (SBI) and
Corporation Bank. The center currently manages ATMs remotely for SBI, India’s
largest bank, as well as Corporation Bank.
Inaugurating the center, Radhakrishnan said, "NCR has worked closely with
SBI to help us build up and now remotely manage our ATM network base and we look
forward to moving together in this partnership as we continue to provide
increasingly higher levels of service to our customers nationally."
NCR vice president, Worldwide customer services Asia Pacific, Chris Cheadle
said, "India, along with Greater China, promises to be among the fastest
growing countries in terms of the ATM market. The center provides a single hub
for all ATM channel management tasks within a purpose built infrastructure.
"I am confident that this facility in Mumbai has the capacity to become one
of NCR’s largest global ATM services facilities in the coming years."
