Nasscom to set up CoE to train professionals in big data analytics

HYDERABAD, INDIA: To train professionals in big data and analytics, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom), will be setting up a centre of excellence(CoE).

It had been working with the union governemnt on this, said Nasscom Chairman B V R Mohan Reddy at the sidelines of the ongoing Big Data and Analytics summit in Hyderabad.

In India, the analytics and BI industry together is expected to grow by 22.4 percent which would create the demand for lakhs of skilled professionals.

To meet the growing demand of the analytics industry the plannned CoE will develop standardized curriculum, dedicated training, assessment and certification programmes.

The CoE will be built through public-private partnership model between the industry and the government and is expected to operational in this financial year.
