Nasscom opens shop in B’lore

BANGALORE: Following the opening of its first regional office in Mumbai, Nasscom, has opened it second regional office in Bangalore. Poornima Shenoy has been appointed as the Regional Director, Bangalore and would be responsible for spearheading Nasscom initiatives in the region.



Nasscom President Kiran Karnik said "Bangalore is a hot bed of technological innovation and excellence in India. A substantial representation of NASSCOM members is also based in this city. Opening of a Nasscom regional office in the city would help us to better serve member companies and also effectively interact with Karnataka government on an ongoing basis for catalyzing new initiatives."



"We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Poornima Shenoy as the Regional Director. Poornima is best suited to take on the role, since she herself is an IT entrepreneur, understands the market and can mirror the global aspirations of the Indian IT Industry," he added. Prior to joining NASSCOM, Poornima was Vice President - Teams and Networks at e4e India.
