NashWall promises 'complete' virus cure

BANGALORE, INDIA: NashWall Cyber Surakshaa, a city based security firm, today announced the launch of Nashwall, a virus prevention software designed to functions 'differently' from the existing anti-virus software available in the market.

The product said to be the first of its kind, is aimed at virus prevention in personal computers. Nashwall is aimed at detecting virus with more accuracy and recommend users what malicious to remove from PCs where as anit-virus solutions available in the market is aimed at virus cure.

The new software promises a robust, multi-layered protection for installations, applications and the Internet. Among the various features are its ability to stop unwanted installations to safeguard PCs against viruses, prevention of unwanted apps, ability to block malware installation from webistes and a 3 layered protection for virus-proofing the system.

Today viruses are over writing files, so some times they are not curable. We don't cure but suggest what programs has to be removed, said Narendra Kumar, CEO and founder of NashWall Cyber Surakshaa..

Reasoning the need for a new breed of security software the CEO said "most of existing anti-virus solution cannot detect all viruses in a PC. Cyber criminal are releasing new strains by the hour. Malware gets installed on seemingly protected systems as cyber criminals are releasing new strains ever hour."

Incidentally NashWall is also the same company which launched India's first anti-virus software Nashot, way back in 1989.
