Nanya Technology Corporation explained in a statement that the final determination of the United States International Trade Commission found that claims asserted by LSI Corporation against Nanya are “invalid” and that there was no violation.

Pei Lin Pai, vice-president (global sales and marketing) of Nanya Technology Corporation said in the statement that the company is “pleased” with the final determination of the ITC, adding that Nanya Technology has “always respected intellectual property.”

An administrative law judge of the United States International Trade Commission had, in September 2009, issued an initial determination in favor of Nanya Technology Corporation and other companies in the dispute over a patent related to the use of a thin layer of either titanium nitride of aluminum to improve the adhesion of tungsten to an underlying dielectric layer.
