Myntra Hack Day saw cool mobile tech demo

BANGALORE, INDIA: Myntra invited techies over this weekend to create game-changing mobile technologies, themed around Computer Vision, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence.

The Myntra Hack Day is an annual event, launched last year with around 200 participants, featuring crazy ideas, interesting insights and a large bounty of prizes.

The second edition of the Hack Day witnessed over 500 internal and external participants from companies including Walmart Labs, Intuit, Hike and Practo.

Team refugee won the 1st prize for Watbot - a whatsapp bot that uses picture and twitter to guess age and tastes and recommend products, tweeted Shamik Sharma, CTO and Product Officer at Myntra.

Spokespersons from Myntra and Mech Mocha inspired participants to explore the unexplored in mobile technology.

Ambarish Kenghe, Head of Product, Myntra, said, “Open hackathons are great not just for engaging with professionals from the tech community but also sowing the seeds for great innovation down the line. We are certain that the discussion from today will continue beyond this event and lead to great products and technologies.”
