MSN 7 unveiled to global consumers

NEW DELHI: MSN has announced the launch of MSN 7. The new version of MSN is

based on advanced Microsoft technology and is designed to give consumers around

the world the most useful Internet experience with fast access to the full power

of the Internet and advanced Web services.

"Consumers have told us that they want more from the Web and MSN 7 was

designed to be the useful Web that exceeds their expectations. MSN 7 will

redefine what people can accomplish on the Internet," said MSN India head

Sriram Adukoorie.

MSN Hotmail, with over 110 million active users worldwide, delivers a new

junk mail filter and is integrated with MSN Messenger enabling consumers to

check their buddy status in their address book, or quickly send an instant

message from their address book.

With new emoticons, the ability to create groups of "buddies", an

innovative typing indicator, and an updated design, MSN Messenger is now easier

and more fun to use for the 42 million users of MSN Messenger worldwide.

MSN Photos is the one-stop online photo shop that offers full online editing

from Web sites in one, central location; providing consumers with easy ways to

store, edit, manage, and print digital photography.

MSN Shopping provides comprehensive shopping opportunities with deep

comparison shopping features, power searching abilities, sophisticated tools and

extensive content.

MSN 7 is optimized for the latest Windows innovations and was developed with

Windows XP customers in mind to provide them with a seamless Internet

experience. MSN 7 allows them to log-in automatically to Microsoft Passport when

they start Windows XP permitting their online preferences and identity to safely

and securely stay with them while they surf.
