MS Office 2010, now available in India

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Microsoft India has announced the availability of Office 2010, at all large format retail stores across the country; it is now available at more than 35 thousand retail stores around the world.

The beta version of Office 2010 has seen over 1.3 million downloads in India and over 2000 businesses are already making the transition to the latest version, said a press release. 

Jaspreet Bindra, regional director, Entertainment & Devices Division, Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt. Ltd., said, “The new Office 2010 will enhance computing experience like never before. Office 2010 has been designed to assist the consumers fast life on-the-go making it simple for them to do things from anywhere.”

Talking about the retail availability of Office 2010 Ajit Joshi, CEO, Croma, said "Today, technology usage within the Indian consumer segment is at an inflection point, with people looking for solutions that provide a palpable difference in terms of security, convergence and search.”

The product has been launched to businesses in India and across the world. Office 2010 is available in 240 countries and 10 languages, and will expand to 254 countries and 94 languages which include 12 Indian languages.
