MphasiS opens BPO facility in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: MphasiS, a provider of IT and BPO solutions, today began operations of its new Business Process Outsourcing facility in Ahmedabad.

This is the sixth location in the country from where MphasiS will provide its BPO services. With this, MphasiS has a geographical presence in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mangalore, Noida, Pune and a facility in Tijuana in Mexico.

Speaking at the inauguration, Sandeep Dhar, president, MphasiS BPO said,

"MphasiS has over the years recognised the business case for developing

and strengthening our BPO service offerings. Our Ahmedabad facility will be

dedicated to customer service delivery for our domestic business. While our

global business volumes have been witnessing a consistent growth rate, the

domestic business has gained ground in the recent past. The Asia Pacific

region and Japan are also displaying potential and MphasiS will continue

to strategically locate its facilities at geographical locations that can tap

these emerging opportunities."

The facility in Ahmedabad, located at Satellite Junction, a prime business

area, is well connected and will occupy an important position in the business landscape of the city. The 18,000 sq. ft. facility is located close to SG Road and IIM-A.

With a starting strength of 350 employees, the center will grow up to 3000 employees subsequently.
