The webinar on this latest Mixed Signal microcontroller is set for 11 a.m. PST/1 pm CST on November 7, 2013. Registration for the event is at http://www.mouser.com/ti_fram_webinar/ . The 45-minute program, geared toward design engineers, is entitled Giving Your Product The Edge With MSP430 FRAM MCUs.

The webinar introduces Ferroelectric Random Access Memory (FRAM) microcontrollers, a game-changing memory technology with the capability to perform high-speed reads and writes while consuming no extra power.

Participants will walk through a learning session on the popular MSP430 microcontrollers with embedded FRAM, and gain familiarity with easy‑to‑understand reference designs that can help differentiate any project. A question and answer session will follow.

This program includes a technical introduction to embedded FRAM; how the industry's only embedded FRAM-based MCUs can give your product the edge; and how to apply an IoT (Internet of Things) and sensor management reference design to quickly build modern applications.

"FRAM is rapidly becoming an alternative to flash and EEPROM memory for microcontrollers in ultra-low power solutions," says Kevin Hess, Mouser VP of Technical Marketing. "FRAM has a reputation as an ultra-low power, differentiated and more secure solution for embedded applications. This gives design engineers an avenue to bring their technologies to the next level, and Mouser is proud to stock the most cutting-edge FRAM devices to help them achieve their design goals."
