‘Mots’ recharge facility now available at ICICI ATMs

MUMBAI: After the launch of the co-branded credit card, BPL Mobile and ICICI

bank have now tied-up to introduce the pre-paid (mots) recharge facility across

1000+ ICICI bank ATM network in the country. Launched initially for BPL mobile

subscribers in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa, this facility will soon be available

for BPL mobile subscribers in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Adding value through this initiative, the recharge facility will also be

available for all BPL mobile pre-paid (mots) roam free subscribers. With this

initiative, BPL mobile and ICICI bank customers can now recharge their mots card

directly at an ICICI bank ATM anywhere in the country thus eliminating the need

to carry cash and seek a retail outlet.



BPL mobile president and CEO, FB Cardoso said, "Through the ICICI bank ATM
network we have found the ideal opportunity of leveraging technology to expand

our distribution and deliver a 24/7 recharge option to our mots

subscribers."






All that the mots subscriber has to do now is visit an ICICI ATM, select from
the airtime recharge slabs offered and the rupee amount is debited directly to

his ICICI bank account. After the transaction is complete, the ATM dispenses the

purchase receipt along with the activation code, which is provided with all mots

purchases whether through a retail outlet or an ATM.






This exclusive tie-up between the two companies is for three months initially in
the circles where BPL is operating. ICICI already has a tie-up with Bharti in

Delhi.
