After the international launch, Lenovo-owned Motorola introduced its latest mid-range Android smartphone Moto Z2 Play in India for Rs 27,999.

Starting today, users can pre-book the smartphone through the company’s official website or Flipkart, and avail some of the exciting offers available. The company will start shipping from June 15.

Available in two different colour variants — Lunar Gray and Fine Gold, the Moto Z2 Play sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. The company has ditched the glass back for a complete aluminium build, which is just 5.99mm thin. The Moto Z2 Play is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor, paired with an Adreno 506 GPU and has the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Motorola provides nano-coating on the phone as a protection against accidental splashes and dust. There’s a fingerprint scanner on the chin. Moto Z Play is beefed up with a 3510 mAh battery, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The memory card slot allows using a microSD with up to 256GB storage capacity.

On the camera front, the smartphone is equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera with a dual-LED dual tone flash. The primary camera has a f/1.7 aperture and dual autofocus system comprising of Phase-Detection Autofocus and Laser autofocus. The 12-megapixel image sensor offers 1.4 microns pixel size and supports shooting features such as touch focus, face detection, panorama and auto-HDR.

Besides Moto Z2 Play, the company has launched four new Moto Mods, including a JBL SoundBoost 2– for audiophiles, the Moto TurboPower Pack, and the Moto GamePad. You’ll have to shell out $39.99 per piece for the charging shells while rest of the new Moto Mods will set you back by $79.99 each.

The company is also providing several offers that will be made available to those who pre-order the device. Also ‘hello finance’ offer is available, where buyers will have to pay Rs 2,000, and then the remaining payment can be paid in next ten months with zero-interest EMIs. The company is offering a Moto Armor pack, including protective accessories for the smartphone, as part of the pre-order process.

The pre-order offers is valid till until June 14.
