As a significant add-on for PC users in industries such as field service, manufacturing, government and construction, SanDisk’s SSD 5000 1.8 UATA 32GB provides F5 users enhanced durability, higher performance and greater power efficiency, SanDisk said in a statement.

The announcement was made today at CeBIT, the largest trade fair showcasing digital computing solutions.

“The F5 paired with a SanDisk solid state drive can withstand the toughest working environments,” said Richard Heye, vice-president of SanDisk’s SSD division.

Motion Computing is a innovator of mobile computing and wireless communications solutions designed for the specific needs of vertical markets.

The new, semi-rugged F5 device is a balance between commercial-grade devices and fully-rugged PCs, which have features typically required in only a small percentage of field applications.
