Motherhood is the greatest thing and the hardest thing – Ricki Lake

She is your one man orchestra- Mother, Teacher, Friend, Philosopher, Mentor. She does all it takes to make you feel secured, loved and happy. There cannot be and will never be anyone like her.

It is Mother’s Day and across social media #MothersDay is trending. From Facebook, offering a Purple flower reaction only for Mother’s day to brands promoting digital campaigns, everyone is paying tribute to mothers worldwide.

Japan is celebrating the day in its own unique style by letting children make drawings of their Mothers which will be pinned up in the supermarket store. Convenience store chains 7-Eleven, as well as supermarkets across the country, have children draw their moms in “Mother’s Portraits” that are displayed for all to see.

Though children were supposed to draw portrait pictures of their moms, interestingly and quite beautifully following were the pictures displayed in the store:-

Smile at a Baby for crying loud:

This ad from Jetblue details situations that not only mothers but others will also empathize with though ruefully – flying with a crying baby! The commercial features three mothers with toddlers catching a flight from New York to California. The ad shows the discomfort of fellow passengers when a baby cries and how guilty it makes the mother feel.

The twist, however, is that every time baby cries during the flight, the mother gets a 25 percent discount on the next flight and if it happens for more than four times, a free flight ticket for the next round. In the later part, passengers are shown encouraging the mothers instead of getting annoyed.

So, next time you see a crying baby, just smile!

The Little things:

Another excellent campaign is from Jane.com, who wants us to celebrate every moment of motherhood.

Chief Operating Officer JD Stice said, “We hope more than anything that this video will instill a message of hope and love to all moms out there. Motherhood isn’t always going to be perfect, and like what you see on social media and blogs. Motherhood isn’t going to be easy. But motherhood is always worth it. Always.”

We are framing the words just as it is because they are beautiful.

“You didn’t think you could love them any more than you did, right then. But with each day, through the chaos, every mess, endless tasks, sleepless nights and the countless tantrums are the moments.”

With each kiss, smile, laugh, and “I Love You”, your heart grew in ways, you could’ve never imagined. Years to you mom, for being there in every moment.”

Yeh Maa ka Pyar hai:

An emotional ad by Nivea about a mother and her hearing and speech-impaired daughter tugs at the heartstrings. Titled “Yeh Maa Ka Pyaar Hai”, it showcases a worried mother mumbling concerns about her daughter’s safety as she applies the cream on her hands. When daughter replies in sign language, it will definitely bring a smile on your face.

I am who I am because you are who you are:

Technology giant Apple has also released a heart-warming ad starring pictures of mothers and kids shot on iPhones.

The ad displays the joys of motherhood and the eternal bond between a mother and a child. You can check some of the beautiful moments captured using an iPhone in the above link.

Happy Mother’s day!!
