US: The Montana State Fund, provider of workers' compensation coverage to over 28,000 employers in the state of Montana, has selected BI company Millbrook to help the organization enhance its decision support capabilities to better support its ongoing business strategy.

The worker's compensation provider has already successfully implemented Millbrook's enterprise data warehouse and is working to gain greater insight into its loss and claims operations in particular, a press release tells.

"We went through a long and arduous vendor selection process and decided to go with Millbrook because of its sophisticated data models and deep workers' compensation insurance expertise," said Al Parisian, CIO, Montana State Fund.

Montana State Fund sought an overall business intelligence solution that would provide a single, integrated view of its data to help make critical business decisions. The organization needed a way to empower its business users with tools that would drive fact-bases analysis of trends and anomalies related to pricing, policy retention and other operational activities. This functionality was not supported by Montana State Fund's existing business intelligence system.
