NEW DELHI, INDIA: The All India GSM subscriber base continued to grow aggressively in November 2010, - recording an addition of nearly 17.16 million during the month,achieving a subscriber base of 525.88 Million.

According to The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) this is the highest ever GSM additions to happen in a months time. Expressing delight at the sustained growth of the industry, Rajan S Mathews, Director General COAI stated that it was the GSM industry that was primarily responsible for powering the overall growth of the telecom sector
and will be the key contributor in realising the goals set by the Indian government for the tele and broadband penetration in the country.

Growth in all circles was at par, with an approximate growth of ;
A circle: 3.78 per cent (max in Maharashtra)
B circle : 3.34 per cent (max in MadhyaPradesh)
C circle: 3.4 per cent (max in Orissa)
Metros : 2.33 per cent
Amongst the players Vodafone, Bharti , BSNL and Idea picked up the major share and Uninor being a new entrant demonstrated an exemplary growth.
