Microsoft will bring Surface Pro 4 to India in January, 2016

MUMBAI, INDIA: Surface Pro 4 tablets will debut in India market in January, 2016, said CEO Satya Nadella during Microsoft's Future Unleashed event in Mumbai today.

Unveiled in October this year, Surface Pro 4 is a larger but compact version of Surface Pro 3,  shipping with Windows 10 OS. It has 12. 3 inch screen and and a Surface pen. The device is powered by 6th generation Core i7 Intel processor, 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

Microsoft claimed that the Surface Pro 4 is 30 per cent faster than the earlier generation, i.e. Surface Pro 3, and 50 per cent faster than MacBook Air.

Microsoft is yet to announce the India pricing for the Surface Pro 4. The US pricing is $899.

The new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL smartphones, which hit the US market In November, will also hit the India market in December,  Nadella said.
