The "Windows 10 Creators Update" is touted to be one of the major updates after the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, released in August 2016.

The flagship feature of this update is EPUB support for Microsoft Edge. "The reading experience will get even better with the Windows 10 Creators Update. In addition to providing a great reading experience for PDF files – you can now read any unprotected e-book in the EPUB file format with Microsoft Edge," said Microsoft in a blog post.

With EPUB support, Edge users can read any unprotected e-book in Microsoft Edge. Users can also control the font size, text size and use the bookmark feature to leave bookmarks in an e-book.

In an effort to bring the best command line experiences to the forefront for all power users, Microsoft is also making PowerShell the defacto command shell from File Explorer. Basically, Microsoft is replacing CMD in the Win+X menu and File Explorer’s File menu. Users who prefer to use CMD can continue to do so by disabling the change from the Settings app’s Personalization > Taskbar section.

Next is Paint 3D Preview app, which is now part of the Windows 10. Opening Paint from Start will now take you to the Paint 3D Preview app. Currently, Paint 3D Preview is only available in English, however, the support for other languages will be coming soon.

The Get Office app (version 2.0) has also been updated wherein the app now allows users to discover and launch apps, as well as see all the recent Office documents in one place.

The latest build includes many improvements in the space of IME (Improved Typing Experience with Japanese and Chinese Input Method Editors) also. Apart from improving conversion accuracy and resource usage for the Japanese IME, Microsoft has also fixed various bugs. It includes the issue where the IME might crash due to an incompletely downloaded or corrupted dictionary file, and a UX issue when trying to change phrase segmentation.
