Microsoft ERP tops customer satisfaction survey in India

NEW DELHI, INDIA: In a strong endorsement of the success of Microsoft’s customer centric vision, an India wide survey of companies usingEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions reveals that Microsoft’s customers are the most satisfied. The annual study conducted by research firm IDC in conjunction with Data Quest involved 326 large enterprises and evaluated CIO satisfaction with a product or service offering .It placed Microsoft Dynamics in the top slot against the index of customer satisfaction, moving up from third place last year. The parameters where Microsoft scored included overall product performance, convenience in installation and adoption, scalability and vendor’s problem solving expertise.

The survey results are a shot in the arm for Microsoft which launched its enterprise applications only two years ago, keeping customer needs and satisfaction as a top goal within the organization as well as among its wide network of partners. Expressing delight at being voted leaders in customer satisfaction Sushant Dwivedy, Director Microsoft Business Solutions, Microsoft India said “Our best of breed solutions, delivered through our highly skilled partner network which offers the last mile of vertical functionality, have helped us meet our customer requirements of product reliability, ease of use and efficiency. The results of the DQ-IDC survey are a resounding ratification of Microsoft’s efforts at making customer satisfaction the touchstone for all our offerings “Microsoft Dynamics stack of solutions includes, Dynamics AX, NAV and CRM. 

This is also recognition of the support that the partner ecosystem has shown in making customer satisfaction the cornerstone of Microsoft’s offerings. Vinay Vohra, CEO Corporateserve, a Microsoft partner said, “Working closely with Microsoft has enabled us to build industry specific solutions and deliver highly customised offerings and services to our clients. This has, in turn, ensured a high degree of customer satisfaction”. The partner community is a key component of Microsoft’s customer outreach, providing that last mile of vertical functionality and customization to customers. 

Lauding Microsoft’s growth in the over all satisfaction levels the report stated that, “The rise of Microsoft Dynamics has been contributed primarily by vendor understanding, domain knowledge of business and clarity of pricing contract”. What is also significant is the relative improvement in Microsoft’s performance over the last year as compared to other players in the industry. 

Among all the other segments which have been surveyed including IT services, servers etc. the growth  in the overall satisfaction level in the enterprise applications segment  has seen the highest growth.
