After launching the beta version of Microsoft Edge browser for Android and iOS users, Microsoft has officially launched the app for Android and iOS users globally.

"Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android brings familiar features like your Favorites, Reading List, New Tab Page, Reading View, and Roaming Passwords across your PC and phone, so, no matter the device, your browsing goes with you. But what makes Microsoft Edge really stand out is the ability to continue on your PC, which enables you to immediately open the page you're looking at right on your PC—or save it to work on later," Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President, Windows, and Devices wrote in a blog post.

The mobile browser will sync with the desktop version, allowing a seamless handoff via the "Continue on PC" feature. It will also sync bookmarks, passwords and reading lists, but not current tabs (though that functionality is forthcoming, according to The Verge.) Also, the current iOS version of the Edge browser supports iPhones only, not iPads.

Microsoft Edge for iOS is available in the United States (English), China (Simplified-Chinese), France (French) and the UK (English). Microsoft Edge for Android is available in the United States (English), Australia (English) Canada (English and French), China (Simplified-Chinese), France (French), India (English) and the UK (English). Other users will have to wait a while before the Edge app arrives in their region.
