Micromax A116 Canvas HD vs LG Nexus 4: Sold out within hours

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Micromax A116 Canvas HD and Google LG Nexus 4 seem to have one thing in common. Both the smartphones are highly in demand, but are not easily available in India. Google LG Nexus 4 is yet to get launched in India, and as per Micromax's claims, A116 Canvas HD is being booked at a pace of 25 units per minute.

Google LG Nexus 4, which was launched last year, was sold-out within an hour on Google Play, while Micromax A116 Canvas HD, according to media reports, was sold-out within 24 hours of its launch. According to a report on NDTV, Snapdeal.com has shared that the first lot of the A116 Canvas HD was sold out within 15 minutes of announcing the sale at midnight of February 14, 2013. The second lot, which consisted of 300 units and was up for sale at 9:00 AM, too was sold-out within 15 minutes and the third lot of 1,200 phones took about 45 minutes to be sold-out.
