BANGALORE: Michael Dell, chairman of the board of directors of Dell Corporation, will visit Bangalore on March 20 and meet with the company's senior management in India.
One of the largest PC manufacturers in the world, Dell Corporation has an R&D center in Bangalore, which employs 300 engineers. The center does advanced engineering work around High performance computing, high ability clustering and Network Attached Storage products and server management stack.
Dell recently announced that it plans to double its existing engineering headcount to 600. It also has plans to build some servers out of India.
The company has support centers at Mohali in Punjab, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Gurgaon. Overall, the company has 10,000 people on its rolls in India.
