BARCELONA, SPAIN: Lumiméxico, distributor of lighting products in Mexico, has implemented Openbravo's open source web-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution to centralize its management data, and enable the flow of information across finance, logistics, data warehouses, transport and inventory. With Openbravo ERP, Lumiméxico has brought together data from disparate systems including bNet software, Aspel-SAE and Microsoft Excel into a single integrated ERP system. This single ‘source of truth’ has driven cost savings, efficiency and increased the effectiveness of decision-making across the company, allowing Lumiméxico to save more resources, time and money and concentrate on developing its extensive catalog to maintain its market leadership, as a press release adds.

Juan Antonio de La Rosa, COO, Lumiméxico, said: "We reviewed the market and selected Openbravo ERP because it satisfied all our requirements, is proven and had a strong partner network. Openbravo ERP has excellent functionality, flexibility and a robust web-based architecture, while Tegik has proved to be a worthy implementation partner, meeting all of our needs and ensuring that the system is up and running in minimal time.”

He continued: “Openbravo ERP has given us a single source of information for more effective decision making — which has slashed our delivery times by an average of 50 percent. Meanwhile our accounting is fully synced up with our operations and we have an operation that is 100 percent integrated and efficient. Tegik and Openbravo have each played an essential role in helping us stay competitive and to maintain our market leadership.”

Openbravo solutions are flexible, feature-rich and deliver rapid return on investment: we are seeing a huge demand in Latin America for Openbravo ERP. We look forward to continuing to supporting Openbravo as it demonstrates how much it has changed the ERP landscape — to us at Tegik and our customers, it really is the future of ERP.”

Manel Sarasa, CEO of Openbravo, said: “More companies are taking the same route as Lumiméxico: to simplify their existing ERP system and integrate disparate sources of information into one centralized system to enable better business decisions, more transparent and efficient planning of company resources, and a more competitive business. Lumiméxico is not alone — the demand for open source ERP applications is growing as organizations of all sizes look to lower IT costs and improve efficiency.”
