Metis launches Android-based kids learning tablet

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Eddy, India's first Android-based learning tablet for kids, was launched today by Metis Learning.

Targeted at children aged 2-10 years, Eddy comes with educator-selected learning content, a kid-safe environment and high quality hardware catering to their learning and development needs, said a press release.

Priced at an introductory price of Rs. 9,999, the tablet comes equipped with over 150 high-quality learning games, linked to school curriculum and covering key learning areas including language, math, our world and creativity, the release added.

Eddy is based on the latest research on using technology in education which has been scientifically proven to foster creativity, accelerate learning and boost intelligence in kids.

Commenting on Eddy's launch, Bharat Gulia, CEO, Metis Learning said, "There is no denying the fact that today's 21st century child lives in a world of technology. However, parents are frustrated with the current technology options available and the negative influences of technology. Eddy introduces the concept of responsible technology, ensuring a safe and controlled technology experience for children with a strong focus on learning."
