Media2india, Jupiter in marketing tie-up

BANGALORE: Media2india.net, a Microland company, has tied up with US based Jupiter Media Metrix to market its research services in India. Speaking on the occasion, Media2india.net CEO Pankaj Sethi said, "Media2india.net’s Internet Research business aims to take a leadership position in the Internet research space in India. We feel there is a knowledge gap in the Internet space that needs to be filled. India is all set to have the highest compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of Internet users of around 77 per cent. The user base is expected to grow to 35 million in 2003, with the e-commerce potential expected to increase to Rs 45,000 million in 2003 from Rs 4,500 million in 2000. The opportunity to tap in this market is huge."



The service offered to clients is based on an annual relationship with continuous qualitative analysis backed by data and unlimited access to analysts. This includes research studies in the form of detailed vision reports for selected services, access to analysts and inquiry services team, market forecast report, site benchmarks–all designed to support senior executives in the decision making process. The annual contract price of Jupiter is between $3000 and $20,000 depending on the services. Jupiter, which merged with Media Metrix recently, specializes in broadband, content, Web technologies, B2B, customer service and digital commerce.



Media2india.net, engaged in online ad solutions, Internet research and Internet events, has tied up with Penton for events and with Jupiter for its Internet Research. The company is planning to have an another tie-up shortly for its Online Ad Solutions. Media2india.net is aiming to capture 20 percent market share of online ads by 2003.
