ME Insurance firm logs on to health portal

ABU DHABI: National Health Insurance Company, Daman, a Middle East’s health insurance company, is ready for what it calls the first online health insurance portal for the region, and it has chosen Cognizant for developing the same.

A press release claims that the new web portal will transform the way health insurancepcquest.www.ciol.com/content/implementation2009/2009/1090601109.asp is provided in the region by allowing Daman’s over 1,800,000 customers the convenience of meeting their insurance needs online.

Daman provides comprehensive healthcare solutions via a large network of private hospitals and pharmacies in the UAE launched the new web portal, www.damanhealth.ae, in Abu Dhabi and hopes will transform the way health insurance is provided in the region.

What’s expected is an integrated multi-channel experience while increasing its market share. In addition, the increased process efficiencies resulting from the portal will lead to lower unit costs, thereby helping Daman augment its bottom line.
