"In today's rapidly evolving and highly competitive global marketplace, our customers and partners continue to push the effectiveness, efficiency and reach of their consumer-facing mobile campaigns and communications," said VP of products, Bruce Bales. "Our NLS beta launch will give brands a reliable new tool to dig deeper into data in order to reach consumers with a targeted mobile message at the best time and place."

The product works through a simple interface via a REST API ("web API"), providing brands the intelligence to optimize customers' SMS routing, improve data quality, clean contact databases and reduce costs. NLS currently provides detailed results for more than 40 countries, and mBlox will continue expanding its portfolio to additional countries. The full commercial launch of the product is expected in early Q2.

Through performing a query on a phone number, NLS provides mBlox customers the following features:

  • Information about the current and original operator for the mobile number
  • Number correction in returning a normalized number
  • Number validation based on a specific country's MSISDN format
  • Type of number (e.g. landline, machine-to-machine, mobile, P2A number, voicemail service, virtual private network and VOIP)

By providing intelligence in the form of more in-depth phone number data, mBlox, through products like NLS, helps brands create a more intimate and customized relationship with their customers, driving loyalty and sales.
