NEW DELHI: Mascot Systems, a Global Software Services company, has announced
the acquisition of multiple high potential customers in the Australian region.
These engagements include developing an Integrated Water Management System for
an Australian water services provider and a Plant Budgeting System for one of
Australia's largest contract-mining groups. The contracts have an aggregate
value of AUS $1.1 million and represent Mascot's initial foray into the high
potential Australian market.
Mascot's initiatives in Australia have met with rapid success, with four
assignments being won over the last two months. The region provides high
business visibility in the immediate term.
With these initial engagements in Australia, Mascot has extended its strong
Asia Pacific regional presence by leveraging synergies with its parent group,
iGATE. The combination of the iGATE Group's established Australian presence and
Mascot's technological competence and global project experience has created a
strong value proposition for clients.
Mascot is committed to expanding its presence in the Asian region. In line
with this objective, Mascot has created a Japanese organization that is fully
integrated with local culture and values. In Singapore, Mascot has a sizable
presence and an impressive customer base - comprising large multinational
corporations.
In addition, the strategic acquisition of Mastech Malaysia has further
entrenched Mascot's ASEAN presence. Asia Pacific contributed Rs 42 crore to
revenues during the first half of the current fiscal year, representing 19 per
cent of the business. Australia forms an important part of Mascot's roadmap and
the company aims to use its presence as a conduit to maintaining its leadership
in Asia and expanding its globally diversified revenue base.
