"We hope to target tier-one and tier-two retailers and CPG companies in Europe, North America and also emerging economies like China, Korea, Taiwan and India," he said.

The products are currently being sold through two different routes -- as a bundled product with major OEMs including top ERP vendors, and secondly through channels. The company has appointed 48 channel partners across many countries.

Jalan said that the company does not have direct competitors since their focus is very niche. "Unlike companies like SAS which provide analytical tools, we go a step beyond with predictive analytics.

Manthan has 200 employees at its center in Bangalore. The company is self-funded and hopes to expand its marketing footprint to more countries and also hire more employees at its development center in Bangalore.
