An IRCTC statement said that this move extends the choice of holidays the website offers to its customers and provides travellers better options of railway packages along with air-tickets, hotel bookings and holidays.

The service is available through the toll-free numbers 1-800-11 8747 (from BSNL and MTNL phones) and 1-800-102 8747 (for Airtel subscribers).

Travellers booking through MakeMyTrip can make online payment, cash-on-delivery and mobile banking. Sachin Bhatia, CMO and co-founder of MakeMyTrip, said that the tie-up with IRCTC will provide the travellers a greater choice and flexibility when planning holidays.
