Magma's MUSIC India user conference in Bangalore

BANGALORE: Magma Design Automation Inc., a provider of chip design software, announced that MUSIC India (Magma Users Summit on Integrated Circuits), will be held in Bangalore on January 22 and 23 at The Leela Palace.

Now in its fourth year, the expanded MUSIC India program will feature 25 user papers, two user tutorials and informative R&D sessions that cover the entire RTL-to-GDSII flow, including automated full-chip floor planning, low-power, design for manufacturability and physical verification.

A record number of paper proposals were received, reflecting the growing number of large, complex, high-performance 65nm and 45nm designs being done in India by Magma users.

They will explain useful techniques that allow users to fully leverage Magma's automated and integrated implementation, sign-off, verification, circuit simulation and packaging software to address advanced nanometer design challenges to improve results, reduce power and increase productivity.

“Designers with experience in all aspects of IC design from world-leading semiconductor companies will be at MUSIC to share best practices, experiences, challenges, tips and tricks for working with Magma software,” said Satya Gupta, vice president of Engineering at Open-Silicon Research and a Magma user. "This event is a great opportunity for users to increase the technical knowledge they need to meet the requirements of today’s advanced ICs.”
