Features: HCL Infosystems has announced the launch of Intel Xeon Servers aimed at SMBs. These servers are based on the latest generation of Dual Core Intel Xeon 3000, coinciding with their global launch of the technology.

Traditionally, the Xeon technology based servers have been available at a price point of more than 60,000 and only P4 Servers were available in less than Rs 50,000.

Announcing this new range of servers, George Paul, executive vice president, HCL Infosystems Ltd., said, “Delivering further on our promise of pioneering world class technology at ‘India-specific’ prices, we are proud to empower Indian SMBs with high-power Dual Core Xeon servers, at a cost which would make this a never-before value proposition for them. This should also help us ramp up our server numbers with a clear differentiated offering.”

”The new range of servers can help emerging business utilize IT resources more efficiently. The servers can be a boon for the growing small and medium business in the country and further entrench the sector, considered to be the driving force for the Indian economy in the current scenario,” HCL said in a statement.

Further to the launch, HCL will host a series of events in class B and C cities to promote these servers.

Price: It is priced at Rs 43,900/-.
