Logica enters CDP index for 3 consecutive year

BANGALORE, INDIA: The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), representing 534 institutional investors with $64 trillion in assets under management, has commended Logica for its approach to climate change disclosure and carbon management performance.

For a third consecutive year Logica, technology service company to feature in the CDP’s “Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index”. Logica has improved its performance on the Index by 10 points and is now in the top five of all IT companies globally, said a press release.

In addition, our internal green strategy has significantly reduced our carbon footprint in the country.”

Paul Dickinson, executive chairman of the Carbon Disclosure Project, commented, “The Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index recognizes companies that demonstrate good internal data management practices for understanding greenhouse gas emissions, including energy use. Companies that make this index have also demonstrated clear consideration of how climate change is and will impact their business.”

He added that as companies’ understanding of climate change issues grows, they are better placed to take positive action to manage and mitigate its risks.
