Based more than 50 miles south of Amsterdam, BAS Trucks will install the ISO 24730-2 RTLS at its main facility to provide slot visibility for its inventory of used-trucks. BAS Trucks, a worldwide leader in the buying and selling of used freight trucks, trailers and semi-trailers, sells more than 100 trucks per week.

They have a continually rotating inventory of 800 to 1,250 vehicles located across their Mac Arthurweg facility and multiple remote sites. The ISO 24730-2 RTLS solution will provide BAS Trucks with increased visibility to aid in stock count, truck movement, and vehicle location. ISO 24730-2 RTLS is the international standard for real-time locating systems that operate at an internationally available 2.4 GHz frequency.

BAS Trucks will be able to eliminate manual searches, analyze vehicle movements and dwell times, and instantly inform customers of the availability of alternative models. They will be able to deliver an improved experience for potential customers by locating specific vehicles and getting them to a location for inspection in less than ten minutes. These new capabilities will allow them to drive increased sales.

“We chose the ZES solution because we wanted to work with a proven solutions provider within the automotive industry. ZES has the technology and experience to help us successfully execute our Vehicle Locate Project and deliver increased value to our customers,” said Theo Van Kempen, Director of Business Operations at BAS Trucks.
