ProfileUnity has long been recognized as providing robust User Management and for significantly decreasing Windows logon and logoff times compared with Roaming Profiles, Group Policies, and scripting. The latest version is faster than ever with new file-transfer intelligence built into the ProfileUnity desktop client.

The updated client uses granular data logic to transfer only the smallest of delta file changes for a highly robust user experience by reducing logon times for most users to only seconds. Speed has also been further increased by enabling printer and drive mappings to be executed post logon.

"ProfileUnity v5.7 is a direct result of feedback from our loyal customer and partners," said Jason Mattox, CTO of Liquidware Labs. "We respond to their feature requests to enhance speed and ease of use functionality that continues to reinforce our position as a market leader in user virtualization and desktop management."

Ease of administration functionality has also been expanded in the new version. Custom registry settings, shortcuts, and filters for Microsoft Active Directory groups/users now have "browse to" capabilities, which greatly speed administration configuration time and make them less prone to mistyped paths or incorrect entries.

"Our customers will appreciate even faster logon and logoff times in ProfileUnity v5.7," said Derrick Faur, technology solutions lead at Centrinet Corp., a Liquidware Labs Center of Excellence partner.

"Many of our clients choose ProfileUnity for its straight-forward approach to User Management and the new ease of administration features will only make that choice easier," added Faur.

ProfileUnity's FlexApp application virtualization features have also been updated. FlexApp DIA (Department Installed Applications) are now processed post logon, further enhancing users' desktop experience.
