As the first global partner for BIYP, Doro will invite all its employees’ parents into four of their international offices.

Caroline Noublanche, Vice President Marketing & Portfolio, Doro, said, “We are delighted to be participating in Bring In Your Parents Day 2015. LinkedIn’s campaign really resonated with us. As the global market-leader in senior mobile phone development, Doro’s core message is about bridging the gap, especially the digital gap, between generations. We are excited to help our employees’ parents better understand what their child does for a living and encourage more knowledge sharing.”

Pat Wadors, Senior Vice President, Global Talent Organization, LinkedIn, said, “We all expect active support and understanding of our careers, with coaching-led, reflective workplaces increasingly the norm, but workers aren’t taking advantage of the guidance on offer outside of the office. Parents have a huge amount of value and wisdom when it comes to starting and developing a career to share with their children.”

LinkedIn launched Bring In Your Parents (BIYP) in 2013 after research uncovered that more than one in three parents had no idea what their child did for a living. Since the BIYP launch, more than 55,000 parents have visited their children’s office and learned more about what they do for work.

LinkedIn Bring In Your Parents Day will be held in 18 countries including the United Kingdom, United States, France, The Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Australia, India, Canada, Singapore, China, Japan, Ireland, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

CIOL believes this is a great initiative to develop the rapport between us and our parents. Will you invite your parents on BIYP day?
