LG launches Portable DivX DVD player

NEW DELHI: LG Electronics today announced the launch of its Portable DivX DVD player with built in 7" LCD screen, to strengthen its current product portfolio in the DVD segment.

The new DVD player allows consumers to view movies and enjoy their favorite music even while they are on the move.

Amitabh Tiwari, Business Group head, Consumer Electronics, LGEIL, said, " We predict a very good response for this product and aim to capture a further 5 per cent to 7 per cent of the market share. In audio video category LG is targeting 500 crore business this year with 50 per cent value growth.”

The DVD player is equipped with a built in seven inch wide Swivel LCD for increased flexibility. The product comes equipped with built in stereo speakers for maximum voice clarity. The multi format playability feature equips the user to playback VCD/ SVCD/WMA/JPEG/ Kodak CD/ CD-R/ RW/DVD R/ DivX in this DVD. It also features the on- screen Graphic User Interface.

The 100x High Speed Smooth Scan enables the user to view videos with crystal clear resolutions. The product comes with a removable battery pack with a backup of 3&1/2 hours and an in-car charger of DC 12V making it a complete mobile entertainment solution. The DVD is available for Rs 12990.
